Servicing & Repair Terms

Draft for legal review before launch and before technical services commence.

Inspection and diagnosis

Transportability may carry out an initial inspection and diagnostic assessment. A diagnosis may not identify concealed or intermittent faults. A diagnostic charge may apply where stated in advance.

Estimates and approval

Repair work beyond an agreed diagnostic scope requires customer approval where reasonably practicable. If additional defects are found, Transportability will explain the additional work and price before proceeding, except where immediate action is necessary to make the equipment safe and the customer has authorised such action.

Parts and customer-supplied parts

Parts will be compatible with the equipment where reasonably identifiable. Manufacturer-specific requirements may affect availability and price. Transportability may decline customer-supplied parts where their condition, provenance or suitability cannot be reasonably verified.

Battery and charger work

Battery replacement and charger supply are subject to the separate Battery Terms. Cell-level repair of lithium battery packs will not be undertaken unless Transportability has appropriate competence, equipment, procedures and insurance for that service.

Workmanship

Where a workmanship warranty is offered, its duration and scope will be stated on the invoice or repair documentation. It does not cover unrelated faults, misuse, accident damage, unauthorised modification, normal wear or parts subject to their own manufacturer warranty.

Uncollected equipment

Completed equipment should be collected within the agreed period. Reasonable storage charges may apply after notice. Transportability will not dispose of equipment without following a lawful process.

Consumer rights

Consumer statutory rights concerning services and goods are not excluded by these terms.
